K.N.O.W.L.E.D.G.E. Core Team
Striving to become a success.
K.N.O.W.L.E.D.G.E. Core Team has effectively recruited and empowered youth in our community by giving them the ability to develop a nurturing and collaborative working relationship with the area communities’ leaders. Youth representatives exist on many of the Union Miles Development Corporations neighborhood action committees, due to the K.N.O.W.L.E.D.G.E. Core Team’s strategic planning process.
With having the unifying effort of the adults and community leaders in our surrounding communities, this has empowered the youth to better understand the economic and educational challenges that our communities face. This has encouraged them to foster and develop a spirit of activism, leadership, higher education and career development.
Our documentations shows, youth that are involved in K.N.O.W.L.E.D.G.E. has embraced a higher educational standard required of them which has a high success rate as it relates to education, economics and non-involvement in gang activity. K.N.O.W.L.E.D.G.E. encourages other youth to take a more proactive not reactive approach to resolving violence. K.N.O.W.L.E.D.G.E. has increased its civic involvement by delivering community awareness through community events, activism, community dialogue and neighborhood canvassing.
In May of 2008 K.N.O.W.L.E.D.G.E. Youth Organization Core Team was selected by Ohio State Extension Program to become members of a New York Life 4-H Youth in Governance Program. K.N.O.W.L.E.D.G.E. was among the many groups selected throughout the United States to participate in this event. K.N.O.W.L.E.D.G.E. Youth Organization was one of eight organizations selected as representatives of the State of Ohio at the Citizen Washington Focus in
Washington D.C.
The implementation of our many strategic planning processes has brought a continuing cycle of positive impacts. This has developed a connection to all communities involved, allowing K.N.O.W.L.E.D.G.E. the opportunity to give Cleveland a …..
Legacy of Emerging Young Leaders.
